Bellevue Road Summer Fair, the Wandsworth Bake Off and Autumn Supper Club at Skylark: Your What’s On activity guide from NappyValleyNet

Last Updated on : 17th September 2015

Dear NappyValleyNetter,

Welcome to your weekly What’s On activity guide from NappyValleyNet!

Caught in an Indian Summer monsoon moment on Clapham Common the other day, I spied a heron standing elegant, poised and dinosaur-like on the edge of the pond.  A few other passers by paused to marvel at this feathered creature which towered over mesmerised toddlers and (small) school children alike.  As it lifted its huge wings and took flight, the Shard, shimmering against grey skies, appeared in the background and brought me back to where I was actually standing.  Not in a nature reserve, but just four miles from The City. And that, in a nutshell, is why I love it around here – we get the best of both worlds.  And after summer in the city, things are hotting up around here. Take a look at our calendar, you won’t be disappointed. (click here)
