Clapham Fashion Trends for Spring:

Last Updated on : 13th April 2013

I’m delighted to introduce a guest post from those wonderful people at Totally Clapham.

Need a Spring wardrobe update? No need to sweat it out in the West End – there are plenty of independent women’s fashion shops around Clapham plus we’ve highlighted the new season’s key fashion trends.

What’s in for Spring:
1. Stripes are big this season – in any direction
2. Brights are back
3. Neon too – accents rather than full-on!
4. Metallics are still shining for Spring
5. Floaty florals complete the bohemian look
6. Don’t like bright? Monochrome and neutrals contrasted with pastels are on-trend too
7. Military coats and biker jackets hang around for another season
8. Check out checks, animal prints and tropical-inspired designs
9. Less tottering, more gliding – extreme stilettos are kicked aside
10. Out with the big bag, in with the tote (ideally with detachable clutch) and back-to-school satchels. Oh so practical…

JZD has been in the centre of Clapham Old Town since 1999 and manages to mix high end fashion with affordable designers. For Spring, JZD embraces the animal print trend with some must-have Malene Birger Folippa  silk trousers (£255) and a Hoss Intropia printed knit top (£89). Or, for just £12.95, there’s a selection of gorgeous elephant print scarves in several colours. We particularly love JZD’s statement jewellery – you can pick up some dramatic designs from £10. But our favourite for Spring has to be the range of individually made, quirky Prinz clutch bags – pictured.  JZD is the only shop in the UK to be selling them!  Don’t forget, if you need some fashion guidance, the lovely JZD style advisors (and they really are friendly!) can help – day or night. Call or email them to arrange an appointment.
