:D Usedtobeorganised: Ah! I just saw the text in "s from Tigger above so had not had sight of the OP. This clarifies that they are in need of grammatical assistance, to be sure! ;)

Bit harsh - I don' t particularly approve of tutoring. In my country we don't even start school until 7 ! But you just do not know what the circumstances of this family are. Their kids might really need extra help (maybe they are not British / moved from abroad and struggling to keep up).

Hattie the post is by a family looking for a tutor, not by a tutor.

"Math and English tuition, and to supervise the homework"

Hmmm. As an English tutor I would have expected him/her to know that you do not need a comma after the word "tuition"!

Wow - that is one hell of a lot of tutoring. Poor kids. I wonder what their future holds for them? Is this the madness which will come to our area? I so hope it doesn't.

That's an awful lot of tutoring. When will the poor children get time to relax, play, ride bikes, run around the park, chill in front of the TV, have a conversation about their day......

"Math and English tuition, and to supervise the homework"

Sorry, is the tutor for the children or for the illiterate American parents...?

Private tutor advert

Hi Everyone
We just had an advert for a private tutor in Mayfair.

http://www.nappyvalleynet.com/mums/view ... 02&t=47401

I locked the advert :-)

If anyone wants to get involved in a discussion if it's a good or bad idea to tutor children then please feel free, really really free, to do so here

Didn't want the original advert hijacked! :-)
