I had both my children there and its a bit hit and miss with the parking. Often found I had to wait ages to get into the car park for appointments (wednesday mornings seem to be the worst), although sometimes it was absoutely fine and lots of spaces to choose from (although I agree the spaces are tiny - quite hard to get out of the door when heavily pregrnant and there is car either side!!!!) I often just got a cab there instead and got a cab there for both births (plenty of black cabs outside so that your husband can hail one when he goes home after the birth), but do not let it put you off the hospital (as an aisde, one of the midwives told me that lots of people jsut use it for parking to go shopping as easier than finding spaces elsewhere. Mighty cheeky!)

When it actually comes to the time that you have been through labour & given birth when your husband/you are leaving the hospital they will call down to reception & have your parking fee waived so no need to panic on that front!

It's fine. Though if you park there for the actual birth then your newborn will have cost you £50 before their first breath!

I found it easy. Parking was fine, never had trouble getting a space there. Slightly pricey (£3 an hour, i believe) but it is Chelsea after all. If you are BTC then the 345 and 319 buses can become your friends.

Parking at C&W maternity

I have decided to have my birth at the C&W after researching the facilities and reviews etc. What I did not consider however was the parking - we will just over 3 miles away and have a car we were planning to use. However, I know that the notice for both the midwife appointment and scan they state that parking is limited. What have other people done when having their baby re driving / parking?

Many thanks!
