£10 / hour too.
I had the same problem with shortcuts from a replacement cleaner when mine went on holiday but then took the time and explained what I wanted her to do and it was all fine. If you've explained once or twice and it hasn't sunk in then maybe they are not the cleaner for you.

Agree with petal. They all seem to charge £10ph and it really does seem to be trusted personal recommendation or luck as to whether they're worth it or not. We now have an amazing cleaner for £10ph, having previously paid a very moderate one the same for nearly a year (ouch).

10 GB. Was about to try Done and Dusted who are £11.00 but I wondered if they'd be more professional and quicker.

Hi, same - £10/hour. Our cleaner is fantastic and she has cleaned for us for over 3 years.

how much do you pay your cleaner?

Hello - just a quick question for other locals: how much do you pay your cleaner? Our cleaner is pretty good, but I wouldn't say amazing. She does seem to work hard, is punctual and trust-worthy - but also cuts corners here and there - mopping and hoovering around throw rugs instead of under them, not hoovering under couches, dusting around objects, etc. I've been more or less happy, and have been hesitant to try another cleaner as feel I could just end up with someone similar or even worse. But now she's raising her rates - so am wondering if I should start looking around, or if her increase is fair for the area? Thanks!
