Pixies was excellent for all three of my children. It is a lovely nurturing environment and I always found the teaching staff and helpers to be wonderful. Miss Alison is still there and when my children bump into her now they beam with excitement because they still have such fond memories of their time at Pixies and of her. There are other excellent teachers there as well. I also felt it prepared them for starting primary school and gave them an excellent foundation to build upon. They made learning fun and I don't think my children ever realised that they were learning, but they were. They made excellent friends, some of which are still my children's best friends even though they went on to different primary schools and now secondary for my eldest. Early years education is a springboard to a successful academic and social life in school and Pixies gave all three of my children that. They have continued to thrive. I am very grateful my children attended Pixies. It is just what a nursery should be, gentle, caring, fun, and with some numbers and ABC's thrown into the pot.

It's excellent. My youngest is following in her brother and sister's footsteps there and is loving it. Really relaxed and caring, I can't fault it.

I have had a really good experience, but
It's a personal choice. The space is nice and airy (plenty of nurseries I looked around have the children in the basement, which isn't ideal in my opinion). They also have a lovely and secure outside space - again, there are plenty of nurseries who have to put the kids on ropes/reins to take them to the Common or another outside space. The staff are caring and my daughter
Is really happy there and has learnt a lot/made lots of progress. You should go and have a look at the nurseries on your shortlist and then make a choice from there - seeing them really helped me come to a conclusion, as some places just didn't "feel" right. You might also want to consider distance to your house.

Pixies Nursery - recommendations?

Dear all

I'm looking at various nursery schools and on the waiting list for a couple for my 2.5yr old. Has any one had experience of Pixies on Clapham Common? I'd love to hear any thoughts.

Thanks
