I've signed my son up with Clapham Village Nursery. It's well worth a visit if you are still looking. It's a mighty impressive nursery and very well equipped. I spoke to several of the staff who all seemed very happy working for bright horizons and were offered a lot of training and personal development.

Happy staff make for happy kids!

I have to say and I'm a little reluctant to say it on a public forum, but I hated Baby Room in Old Town. I felt it was like a prison and the outdoor space was awful. I wouldn't leave my child there in a million years.
I have also been in contact with Bright Horizons who are opening a brand new nursery by Clapham Common tube on Brommels Road. It's opening in the next few weeks and they have been super helpful. I've had a copy of the plans, which are very impressive, including great outdoor space, plus opening hours, fee structure etc. Although I've not seen it yet, I'm planning on signing up for that as soon as it's open. Given Baby Rooms is the same price (roughly £1600-£1650 a month for a full week), they seem like different worlds plus Clapham Day nursery has longer opening hours. Plus it's owned by the same people who own the Northcote Road Kids Unlimited which is an incredible nursery, so it's a natural choice for us.

Baby room is a lovely nursery. My son spent 2 years and a half from 7 months old and he has been very well cared for. I was so emotional when he had to leave as we moved in the northcote road area so the daily commute was too long. The staff is amazing and I can't enough praise the manager Georgina. I would say the only downside is the lack of outside space ( well a tiny one) but they take the kids to grafton square quite often.

We were underwhelmed by Baby Room, although our experience there is a little old (two years ago). I've heard good things about Anglo Spanish nursery.

I would recommend Ecole du Parc, but it finishes at 3 so suspect this isn't waht you are looking for.

Not in the Old Town but nearby, I'd recommend Anglo-Spanish Nursery. Very caring, happy environment. It's on Clapham Manor St

Hi there, does anyone know of any good nurseries in Clapham Old Town? I only know of two so far, the Baby Rooms and the new one run by Bright Horizons opening in June. I'm new to that area so my knowledge of childcare provision is poor.
