Thank you all for your reply. I was thinking about the same 10 to 12 nph rate considering the area and all the hassle working for 2 families at the same time.

Thanks again everyone, I am very greatful!

Yes £12 net per hour is standard for a nannyshare so £6 per family per hour. And if at anytime one child then £10 per hour for that family.

The families need to have a employment contract in place for you with holiday entitlement etc. They will ensure you have monthly pay slips and will pay your tax and NI for you.

My understanding is that £12 net per hour is standard London nannyshare rate. Not sure what this means in gross terms.

nannyshare rates

by nannysharing » Thu Jul 10, 2014 2:27 pm

I was wondering about the rates for a nannyshare in Clapham/Battersea.

I am a nanny with 6 years experience (6 months to 4years old) holding first aid, child psychology, OCN common nanny course certifications and some non child related degrees. Not ofsted registered but willing to. I am 26 and English is my second language.

A position been offered to me (two families-two young, about a year old children) but with very low hour rate and I would really like to know your opinion (especially if you have experience in nanny sharing as a nanny or a family) on how much would be considerable after tax and NI?!
