It's worthwhile to check if some of the free play groups, especially childrens centres, allow nannies. My nanny was told that she couldn't come back to one play group because careers weren't allowed. She was upset at first but I spoke to them and they indicated that it was because it was for underprivileged kids. But there are plenty of options in the area. In addition to the ones mentioned by a previous poster, swim lessons are also a potential for that age. Good luck!

There are lots of good playgroups around. Have you looked up all the local NCT playgroups? There are also lovely playgroups at Chesterton Nursery and Somerset Nursery in SW11. The One O'Clock Clubs are good too. And there's always the Bees Knees in Battersea Arts Centre - nice soft play and cafe.

Playgroups for baby and nanny near river/Clapham Junction?

Hello,

I am looking for activities/playgroups in the area for my 7 month old baby. We live near the river, but are not far from Clapham Junction.

My nanny will be taking my baby (as I'm going back to work), and ideally I'd like for her to get a chance to meet other nannies in the area, too (so would love to find groups that other nannies attend).

We are signed up for Monkey Music in September, but just looking for other options in the meantime!

Thanks for your help!
