I have used Jason Pest-a-lance for another type of pest, and I found him extremely knowledgeable and informative when explaining the likely cause and possible solutions to my problem. He also uses quality bait and gave me re-assurance as I have a niggly phobia against small unwanted visitors! NOw, I know if I have another problem in the future, I can rely on him for his outstanding service.

We have recent experience of this. We called the council pest control (Merton) and one visit was enough to get rid of the problem. It cost £50.

Get the experts in. We had a wasps's nest in our attic a few years ago and used a pest control company (sorry - can't remember which one). It's not something I would have wanted to do myself. The pest control guy had lots of protective clothing on!

Does anyone have experience dealing with a wasp's nest in their roof that can lend advice?

We have one in the corner of a low part of our roof that's in the garden. Tons of wasps have been flying in and out for months now, with minimal bother to us, but their numbers seem to be increasing. The other night for the first time we had to abandon eating dinner in the garden because they started to show interest in the food.

Time to do something or will they die off in the winter? My husband has seen a spray foam of some description at the garden centre. I feel bad destroying their home but am a bit worried they are a liability especially with children around.

Any advice most welcome!
