Got a recipe for that fish burger? Sounds yummy!

Got some lovely hake on Saturday for fish burgers and it was amazingly fresh.
I love Moxon's too, but they are only open Tue-Sat and as a local of Balham, it's great to have a good fish supplier locally.

Totally agree about Volker and Quinn - we've had mussels and clams from there now and both were incredible, we paid £7 for 500g of clams and I think the mussels were £5 for 1kg. Both incredibly good and incredibly fresh. Let's support these independents wherever we can, especially when they're good ones!!

Another vote for Volker and Quinn - delicious fish (and more too) and lovely staff!

We've just bought our 4th dinner of really lovely fresh and good quality fish from a new fish monger in Balham, at a delicatessen called Volker and Quinn.
It's almost opposite Waitrose if you head down Hildreth Market it's on the right - or a 30 second walk from sainsbury's carpark. They source it carefully and get numerous deliveries each week. I have no association but just feel that unless we support these little independents by buying from them, rather than the ease of a supermarket, they'll never survive. Cheaper than Moxons toom and I admire anyone that sets up a business with quality at the heart:)
