Thanks for letting everyone know. I am sure a lot of people would change their views on here about naming and shaming if it was their children that was put into danger.
If there is an issue with the name I am sure that Annabelle will remove this and also speak to the police herself.
Lots of people have internal security systems that film various rooms - it's not illegal as such.

It's illigal to film a employ without permission.
Although it's your home it's still illegal
Did the police mention this? I think it's allowd in the USA but in the uk it's not.

So you hired an au pair to have sole charge of your children, and didn't carry out even the most basic of checks on her, let alone doing a DBS or checking references?

I would suggest the au pair isn't the neglectful one in your household...

I want to stop this lady having contact with other children
It may not even be her real name: she lied about her age and lots of other things
If anyone is unsure do let me know and I can give a good description of her in private

I'd just like to clarify that I said that the name of the au pair should only be posted if the op was more specific about the particular issues with the au pair. The op kindly responded to my post and has given a lot of very specific details which I think was very helpful and justify her naming the au pair.

I'm sorry but I really can't see why the op shouldn't mention the name on this website!??
There are many good au pairs and nannies out there, so being warned about one of questionable quality can only be a good thing for everyone IMO.
Good luck with finding someone new!

I have to agree with gruffalos dad that you shouldn't really post her name atleast until the police have decided what to do.. Also as a nanny myself I do think its wrong that your filming someone (although it's great that you've obviously stoped a scary Situation that could get worse!) without their permission .. If your not trusting leaving your children with someone and need cameras then do not employ a au pair in my opinion as au pairs often have little qualifications relating to children and little childcare experience they also shouldn't be left alone babies. I'm a qualified nursery nurse with full first aid and various other childcare training certificates , 3 years private nursery experience and 1yrs nannying so I feel qualifications generally contribute towards whether someone is genuinely interested in caring for children. That being said I wish you luck in finding someone new but I suggest you find someone with childcare qualifications and good references however be carefull continuing with the camera as some situations may look worse than what they actually are especially if there is no sound and you can't hear what their saying (maybe their not shouting ect) good luck and sorry for your sad situation x

My children are 3 and 4
She was left alone with them for about 3 hours twice a week. The rest of the time I was with them.
This post is to hopefully help others.

She was seen sitting with a 4 year old for 30 mind not talking to him at all when he moved shouting at him. I left work immediately when I saw this
She lied about her age
Lied about being able to cook
Lied about being able to clean
Said she wouldn't return home after 10pm but regularly went our and returned at 12.1am 3am 4am
She has a mental illness she didn't disclose in interview
My children told us she hit them.

I too have had 2 wonderful au pairs prior to this.
I trusted people
I know she is looking for more childcare work and as a psychologist myself I felt it reasonable and fair to let the public know so no one else experiencing this again.

You are clearly upset. However, I don't think it is proper to name someone on this site without being specific as to what the issue is. I make this post as someone who had had (good) au pairs in the past.

"Neglect" is a very general term and to me doesn't say anything specific. It could involve the au pair playing on her phone or watching TV for 15 minutes while your children run around or it could amount to not changing a child's dirty nappy for an hour - those are very different things.

In your previous post you said that you have children aged 2,3 and 11. In your post above you refer to your home cameras showing this au pair neglecting your children suggesting that the au pair was left alone with children for a meaningful period. However, I would not expect an au pair to be left alone with a 2 year old and a 3 year old for any meaningful period. One can say that an au pair is incompetent but that if an au pair is acting in an au pair role as understood it is difficult to see how she could neglect a child of 2 or 3.

However, you mention that you have informed the police, so perhaps there is
something more serious / sinister to this, in which case it would be helpful if you could be more specific.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AN ITALIAN LADY CLAIMING TO BE AN EXPERIENCED AU PAIR BY THE NAME OF MARTINA LUCA MAY BE LOOKING FOR AU PAIR WORK IN THE UK.
THIS LADY IS INCOMPETENT AND OUR HOME CAMERAS SHOWED HER NEGOLECTING OUR SMALL CHILDREN. AS A RESULT WE LET HER GO IMMEDIATELY.
I FOUND THIS WOMAN ON THIS SITE AND SHE 'WORKED' FOR US FOR 3 WEEKS IN WORCESTER PARK.
SHE HAS DARK HAIR AND IS MEDIUM BUILD. SHE SHOULD NOT BE WORKING WITH CHILDREN AT ALL.
I HAVE INFORMED THE POLICE TOO.
