Same as above. Easy to change. I did from Thomas to George's as had a terrible experience at Thomas's. I was pleased to change. The only think I would add though is that everyone has difficult situations, experiences and it could be at any of the hospitals.. None of these hospitals is better than others but your experience could vary on the day. Wishing you luck.

I phoned up my GP and said that I don't feel comfortable having my baby at StGeorges and would like a transfer to StThomas's. My GP did a letter and a week later I got an appointment for a visit with local midwives for StThomas. Best decision I've ever made.

I changed from St. George's to St. Thomas'. Your GP will write a letter to your preferred hospital and get files transferred. It delayed my midwife appts slightly as moved from Wandsworth care to Lambeth. Also, you may still have your scans at George's even though that's not where you will give birth. That's what I had to do x

I changed hospitals. You have to call the hospital you want to change to and also get your GP to approve the change. Then you simply take your files with you to your first appointment at the new hospital.

How to change choice of hospital?

Hi all

Apologies for the question (and especially if it's already been answered here elsewhere, if so, I couldn't find it!) but I'd be grateful for some help.

Due to a recent scare and a farcical and upsetting 6 hours at St Thomas's I really can't now contemplate giving birth to my first kid there in early December. Does anyone know how I would go about changing from St Thomas's to The Birthing Unit at Chelsea & Westminster?

Many thanks!
