Hi,

I had the same with my little girl- we were on one feed at night only for a while, it always sent her to sleep. I was able to stop it quite quickly, making sure she had enough to eat at dinner, carried on with bath and story at the same time and she seemed to adjust quickly. We had a couple of nights leading up to her first birthday, I think we were at weddings, so she had to go to bed without a feed as someone else was putting her down for the night. I think it was worse for me stopping the feeding than for her!

Good luck with it all xxx

Hi all,

My little girl is just about to turn one and I am keen to stop BF'ing now. We are just doing one feed at night now as I dropped the morning one last week which she adapted easily to. She has never taken the bottle and refuses to drink cows milk.

I'm concerned about her getting enough calcium but also about getting her to sleep at night without nursing. Of course there is calcium in lots of foods and she will have cows milk on her cereals - my main query is around her getting to sleep in the evening.

Has anyone been through anything similar? I'm desperate for some advice.

Thanks
