My little son attended first the Babyroom at Webbs Road and then Lavender Hill Branch. He loved it going there. Still now in year 1 he tells me always when we pass, that's his Baby Room. The staff was alway's very helpfull and you could approuch them with all problems. I allways felt, that the children were well looked after and cared for.

My son went to Babyroom on Webbs Road and then Old Town from 6 months until he started school nursery at 3.5 years old. And now my daughter attends Webbs Road and has been there since she was six months as well. She definitely does not think it is depressing. She shrills with excitement when she sees the front door!

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that my 1st child went to Baby ROom on Webbs road and then on Lavenderhill from 6 months to 2.5 years and enjoyed it.The staff were caring and we liked the fact it was a small nursery so we knew the carers and all the staff in fact. This also allowed us to meet other parents and kids made friends that they still see around at the playground.
Now I must admit this was the 1st nursery I visited the day before giving birth (my first one came early!) and when I came out I thought 'oh my god this is so noisy how can these ladies work here all day!!!'. Obviously I was not a Mum yet at the time ad was soon to discover the reality myself...... Calm and Kids are 2 different worlds!
Anyway at the end we were very happy and I did recommend Babyroom to my best friend when they arrived in the area and she also liked it (this was Lavenderhill branch).

I agree that when placing your child in another person's care other then your own, gut instinct may very well feel the right route. However, I have to say in defence to Webbs Road, Baby room that my daughter went there from 9 months to 3 years, on recommendation from a friend and we were more then satisfied. The nursery was not too large and we genuinely felt like she was part of a large family, with committed and caring keyworkers who helped develop her into the happy and sociable person she is today. I would definitely recommend it and plan to use it soon for number 2.

Yes I didn't mean it like that. If it didn't feel right to you, then you shouldn't let your kids go there. I'm all for gut instinct!
I was just thinking about the fact some parents might have children that go there, that's all :)

Hi Scooby,

When looking at nurseries I visited Baby Room on Webbs Road and first impressions were no good. As we approached, before we even rung the bell to get in we could hear the staff shouting at the kids … inside looked really unorganised and not welcoming. Staff seemed attached, I also then spoke to a few mums, one had used it for a couple of months and had moved her daughter … hence my comment. I haven’t visited the other sites … maybe they are different.

And Yes Megberry, I don’t know all the facts but enough for me to make a decision about where my kids go to …

I've not seen it, maybe it doesn't LOOK great, but the staff might be excellent and the children might have a great time there...
You shouldn't make a nursery look bad when you don't know all the facts...

But that's just me I guess.

I feel the word 'libel' coming on........... you might want to rephrase your question or cross reference local nursery index against ofsted reports.

Random question.. Anyone know a bad nursery?

Hi everyone.

Very random question for you all..
Does anyone know any bad nurseries???

I have a NVQ in management and i really want to turn a bad nursery around. Improve the quality of life for children and parents.
Get a poor Ofsted report and make it into an outstanding one.

Random i know, but any ideas??

Michelle mw031283@yahoo.co.uk or text me 07894121885.

Thank you :)
