Do have a chat with Jonathan Kemp of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club. Their savings don't just end with the utility bills but with your household shopping too. Discounts for shopping elsewhere come off your bill and if you're really savvy, you could end up with a bill of zero (or less) if your household has a significant shopping spend. They've won multiple awards with WHICH magazine for their customer services. He'll explain it to you. Lovely chap.

go onto the uswitch website. It is independent and will tell you the cheapest option available as well as the reviews for things like customer service.

Most utilities providers are pretty much the same i think. Internet is trickier with a lot of people having had bad experience with pretty much all of them.
I know i won't go near virgin again and friends who avoid BT after terrible service. There's no one with a great reputation for broadband etc.

Good luck.

Utilities and Internet service?

Hello we just moved to London from overseas. I need to set up utilities and internet for our new house but was wondering which companies/provider to use. Would appreciate suggestions to reliable companies. I understand water is provided by Thames Water but gas and electricity is offered by various private compacompcompanies.

Thank you in advance.
