Looking For a Kind & Reliable Live-in Au Pair to start ASAP

by NewMummySW18 » Wed Oct 21, 2015 2:43 pm

We are a lovely small family with two children, a 2.5 year old daughter, and a 2.5 month old son. We are looking for a kind and reliable Live-in Au Pair to primarily help look after our 2.5 year old daughter when she is not at nursery. The Au Pair would be available to start on or around Monday 9th November 2015 but we are flexible for the right person. The position would be short term only (minimum 3 months, up to a maximum of 6 months due a relocation out of the UK).

We are located about a 7 minute walk from Earlsfield train station (South West Trains) or a 15 minute walk from Wimbledon Park Tube Station (District Line) in South West London. It is a beautiful area with lots of parks and other au pairs.

The Au Pair will be responsible for taking care of our daughter’s everyday needs and doing light housekeeping. This includes; preparing breakfast/lunch/dinner for her, dressing, bathing, nursery run, activities inside and outside, maintaining her safety and tidying away her toys. At certain times you may be responsible for both children.

30 hours per week: the below is a typical schedule but subject to change, as we are looking for an Au Pair who can be flexible.

Mon, Wed & Thurs: 3-7pm (3 x 4 hrs = 12 hrs)
Tues: 9am-1pm / 4pm-7pm (7 hrs)
Fri: 10am-7pm (9hrs)

1 night a week babysitting

Light housework includes loading and unloading the dishwasher, keeping our daughter’s room and the communal areas of the house clean & tidy. We have a weekly cleaner.

The Au Pair will take care of their own household chores (washing, cleaning up their room/bathroom/kitchen).

You will be provided with a studio flat, with your own bathroom and kitchenette and separate entrance. You will also have your food, internet connection, TV and household bills included. We will pay you £100 pocket money per week. Unless agreed otherwise, you will have the public/bank holidays and will get the same holidays as us (20 days holiday per year, pro-rata’d, at the same time as us, but not with us).

Essential Requirements:
• At least 2 checkable references (preferably one in the UK) with experience looking after children in this age group.
• You must be available for a face-to-face interview.
• You must have the right to work in the UK and have a good standard of English.
• You must be at least 21 years old.
• Non-smoker (absolutely does not smoke).
• Recent CRB check.
• 3 months minimum commitment.

If you meet the above criteria we would love to hear from you. Please message me with your name and email address, and I will email you back requesting your CV, a cover letter and your references.

If you do not meet the above criteria, we regrettably will not be able to reply to you.
