Try Sophie at Loaf Upholstery. Www.loafupholstery.com. She's local and does really good job and is affordable. She also has a great eye if you need a hand choosing fabrics etc.

Stuff "n' Cover in Southfields did an amazing job with a beautiful antique armchair which belonged to my grandmother. I was nervous about handing it over, but it was wrecked so basically couldn't be made any worse! The work of art that was returned to me bought tears to my eyes. It was stored in the window of their shop until my husband was able to collect it and apparently had more than one or two people asking if it was for sale! They were swift, efficient, professional and I can't recommend them highly enough. :D

E & A Wates near Tooting Common, they have an upholstery workshop on site and you can call in to choose fabrics.

Yes, Clive who has a shop near Vauxhall..he upholstered my 8 dining chairs and a 3 seater leather sofa. Brilliant. Next to his shop is a soft furnishing fabric shop. I just went crazy in there, beautiful, beautiful fabrics.

Clive: 020 7720 0840 / 07963 964524. He'll quote, pick up and deliver with a small charge.
