Hi 'Poi0' I run the lemon tree salon on Webbs Road and have been doing electrolysis personally for over 30 years. Book in with me anytime for a free consultation with no pressure to book and I will give you my honest professional opinion of the best treatment plan for you. I promise, you are not alone as I spend half my days doing electrolysis and have had plenty myself! Hope that helps.

Brigstock Skin and Laser have a wide variety of hair removal equipment. Ask them about their money back guarantee.

I had really thick dark hairs growing on my chin (I am fair everywhere else) and they were really causing me a lot of distress and time spent plucking them out with tweezers. i have had about 6 months worth of electrolysis - every 3-4 weeks. It is very very painful (or it was for me) and I could only really stand 10 minutes at a go but the results have been totally worth it. My chin is clear. A few new hairs have started to grow but I will just have maintenance sessions every 6 months or so. So for me its a no brainer - the only really permanent solution

Hi there!

Laser is great - makes such a difference, but as a previous poster says, if you have fair hair it doesn't usually have such great results. If you want to go down the laser route, don't go for IPL, as that isn't the latest technology. The best two are Soprano and another that I've forgotten the name of. One nearby salon is EFMedispa on Kings Road, but there are lots of other places you can go to like The ProSkin chain.

Good luck!

Hi there,

I had laser hair removal in Harley St years ago - via a chap called Henk Sheeper - on my bikini line and it has gone forever. Best thing I ever did with unwanted hair (and I'm a wimp). It was gone in a few sessions. I recommended it to everyone, same result. Good Luck.

I was very self conscious of my upper lip hair and have been having electrolysis for about 4 months now. I tried laser hair removal previously and it did nothing for me (fair skin + blonde hair). Electrolysis does work but you have to be patient with it. I go to a really lovely Irish lady called Caroline who operates from Balham lodge on Bedford hill- the tooting common end. Not super expensive and she will put you totally at ease. Her mobile is 07736 519107. Good luck.

I have and I would recommend it. It has helped a lot with hair on the chin (I feel I have it under control now ;) ).I used to go to Face on Garratt Lane but unfortunately they are not there anymore.I would advise to not pluck or wax facial hair.

Hello all,
This is quite a tough subject for me to speak to my friends about. I am only a young woman and I am finding hairs growing and I am becoming more self aware of them. I was wonder if anyone had tried electrolysis and thought it was worth the money? Also any recommendations would be very welcome.
Thanks all
