A mini break on us - a one night stay at the George in Rye

by Karen Simmonds » Fri Dec 04, 2015 2:16 pm

Travel Matters has a wonderful offer to give away.

Book any holiday between now and 31 December 2015 and we will give you a complimentary one night stay with breakfast for two at one of the most luxurious hotels in Rye on the South coast, the George in Rye.

Just under a two hours’ drive or train journey from central London, the George is the most luxurious of Rye hotels. It has also been voted one of the top five UK Hotels by Observer readers, in the 2008 Observer Travel Awards.

The hotel is located in the centre of Rye, East Sussex. It was recently renovated to create one of the most stunning hideaways on the south coast. It dates back to 1575 and has enviable heritage. An eclectic and contemporary design has been given to this historic fabric using a wide range of antique and modern furniture, materials and local art. The result is a comfortable blend of old and new, creating an atmosphere which is relaxed, informal and individual.

Rye itself is unlike any other town in England. A medieval townscape locked in time and with a fascinating history, it offers a great escape for relaxation or romance. Four miles from the white beach of Camber Sands the sea air is wonderful any time of year.
