You're welcome. And although I can't recommend a breeder, I do know this: If you go to visit a breeder, however cute the puppies are, if it doesn't feel right, walk away.

Make sure you see the parents (or at least the mum) with the litter and ideally they should be living in the home, getting socialised with the family, visitors etc. This is really important with Cavapoos; they are great dogs, and mine is confident and doesn't bark or fret, but I think they can be a bit nervy if they aren't properly socialised. Oh and once you get the puppy, make sure you go to the "puppy parties" a lot of good vets now offer after the first injections, before they're old enough to go to puppy training classes. Have fun!

I can't offer a breeder recommendation as the one I used has retired from breeding, but you could join the English Cavapoo Owners Club Facebook group. People often ask for breeder advice on there and although you're not allowed to discuss breeders publicly, other members do send private messages with their recommendations.

Hello everyone. After a lot of research we have decided to get a cavapoo puppy in the next 6-12 months. We think its size, temperament, need for exercise etc will suit us and we've planned how to take some time off to help it settle in. We've thought about walk and care options etc.

But the area I feel quite nervous about still is how best to identify a good breeder. I've read all the books and website advice about what to look for in a breeder but really feel I could do with some personal recommendations if anyone has any please? Ideally it'd be somewhere within a reasonable travel distance.
