Live-out Nanny Wanted (Between the Commons)

by tgi-mummy » Mon Apr 11, 2016 11:51 am

We are a friendly family with two active boys 2 and 5 year old living ‘Between the Commons’ looking for a nanny to take care of our children. We are looking for an energetic, loving but calm and organised nanny. You should be punctual, reliable, have good cooking ability, a mature outlook and an excellent command of English.

This is a full-time, live out position available from mid-May (exact start date to be agreed) with a handover period before. The precise hours are to be agreed, but will generally be between 7.30/8am and 5.30/6pm.

We may consider a part-time position (i.e. 3 days a week) for the right candidate.

You should have experience in taking care of young children, and demonstrate an understanding of children’s educational as well as nutritional needs. Your first priority will be to take care and have fun with the boys, who are a joy to be with, but also to give them educational activities and take them to play dates/learning groups, Playball, Little Kickers, the park etc. We also have a small, lively dog.

Duties will involve:
* Following the boys’ daytime routines – including napping, meal times and active play time and drop off and pick up of our eldest from school locally.
* Preparation of healthy, nutritious food
* Proactive and creative play at home including reading and active play to aid development
* Daily outings to activities in the local area, walks to nearby parks and other local activities
* Organising playdates
* Household and nursery duties relating to childcare – babies’ laundry, tidying toys etc
* Keeping a daily diary
* Babysitting in evenings where necessary by mutual agreement (to be pre-arranged)

The following criteria are essential:

* Prior experience - a minimum of one year’s sole charge
*Experience with similar age children
* Childcare qualifications
* Recent contactable references
* Ofsted registered
* First aid certificate
* Enhanced CRB check
* Non-smoker
* Professional but with a can-do/muck-in attitude
* Fluent English
* Valid work permit required if not EU resident.

Competitive salary dependent on level of experience.

If you are interested in the role and have the relevant experience and qualifications, please send us your CV and a covering note. Please note we may not be able to respond to all applications. Those that are short-listed will be contacted within 2 weeks to arrange an interview.
