If it was me, I'd go with a stealth option. Anonymous letter to every house in the street.

Write a polite short letter to everyone in the street and say something like 'we've all noticed recently a greater difficulty in parking in our small road. Therefore as a street it would be great if we could collectively try and park in a single space and make room for as many of the residents cars as is possible.'

Something like that. Every house gets it, so it's not pointing out particular residents who can't park for toffee, get that collective sense of 'we' in there - 'we have all noticed'....then its everyones problem. My bet is those people who park like numpties will realise the whole street is watching out for bad parking.

I'd make it anonymous just because its easier....only issue is to stealth post through doors!

Hi,

I live in a small street and a few of my neighbours are taking more than 2 spaces to park their car. I have left a few times some nice note on the windscreen but without any success. They just don't care and we have to park very far just because of them. We don't know what to do ....
How can we fix this problem without having any arguments and stay polite ;)
Thanks
