Realistic labour price is £150 per sq m for tiling plus extra for removing old layer and extra to prepare a new one. London Mosaics www.londonmosaic.com sell the best tiles in the UK and have an option to order already glued to a mesh which in your case guys want to order and lay quickly. Glued to a mesh tiles are triple more expensive than assembling one by one.

Is there pre-book to remove existing tiles or concrete? And does the price include the tiles themselves? It does seem a bit high, but without more details it is impossible to tell, ie how big the area is.

Totally depends how complicated a design/how accurate your tiler is, as to whether you've been quoted an overly expensive price.

I can really recommend Angelo 07943 856459 for incredible attention to detail, and I looked at 4 other specialists, but he's busy and not super cheap.

Tiling a front path

by mrc » Wed Jun 08, 2016 12:02 pm

Hi everyone

I've just been quoted £4.5 K to have my front path tiled, which seems an awful lot of money for a small area. Have you had this done recently and if so would you mind sharing how much it cost and how long it took? Also any recommendations would be great (no self recommedations please).

Many thanks.
