Hi Poppet, we just had doors from ID Systrms fitted. They are great but not cheap. Just wanted to say they take ages to deliver. Ours were about 8 weeks if not more. And builder can't order until work advanced enough to take very accurate measurement. We lived with back boarded up for ages! Cold and dark! Worth it now though!! Good luck!

Bifold doors that don't cost the earth?

Hi guys
I know there's probably a million posts on this, but not all are recent.
I don't really know where to start on choosing bifold doors, where to go, and when to order.

This isn't our forever house, so I'm not looking for super high end - we are on a budget. That said, we would like them to be of a low U value for warmth, be aluminium, and preferably not Origin as I know these look a bit clunky.

Is there a Goldilocks 'just right' option?

Names like Schuco, Reynaers and Kloeber have floated around. Not sure if we have to go to a 3rd party supplier, or can order direct.

Also, we're having the wall knocked through for them by a builder. How do you line up ordering them with your builder's timeline? You can't really live with a giant hole in your kitchen can you?

Any experience welcome :)
