I know this is an old thread, but we needed a tiler recently and found Bafti through it.  He did an excellent job, to a very high standard and on time.  He's also all the things that help when you have a stranger in your house - professional, courteous, considerate, trustworthy etc.  I very highly recommend him.

For DanielSW4, I am really sorry you had this experience as we found Bafti very reliable (both in terms of punctuality, time and money quoted) and his work of a very high standard. Our architect and project manager were extremely impressed by his work too.

I would avoid Bafti. I called him and described the job, he offered to come the next day to have a look and meet the builder. All good. However, I didn't hear anything the next day, so I sent him a text and he replied asking if he could come the next day. I replied and said yes, but didn't hear back, so assumed he wasn't coming or would confirm a time in the morning. Bafti then arrived at my house at 7.30am, completely unexpectedly. Aside from the fact that builders can't start work until 8am, I was not expecting him and busy with childcare, and missed his text and phone calls at 7.30am. I replied at 8am to say the builder is here, and he replied back saying that I need to find somebody else for not answering his calls! I had lucky escape

hi All - I have recently bought a flat in Battersea, and was in desperate need of a professional plasterer and decorator to make it livable. (it was a real fixer upper!) If you are in need of a decorator, you should definitely use Artur www.atbconstruction.co.uk. They cut out the middle man, costing you less, and are extremely professional. The finishes are perfect!!!! (I went for traditional Quintessential finishes such as coving, high rise skirting, and traditional Architraves for the doors - absolutely in love!)

Ian and his team decorated my whole house in Tooting, including a new loft conversion. Ian's a great guy as are his team, kind, courteous and clean up after themselves. They transformed what was a shoddy loft conversion into a great-looking space as well as leaving the rest of the house looking fabulous.

Ian also introduced us to James Webber - a carpenter and builder who has done a great job for us with tiling, built-in furniture, cornices, skirting boards etc.

I would highly recommend Ian for decorating and James for pretty much everything else and they work well together.
