I would be happy to meet to discuss further and supply references.

Hi Carol,

I realise that it might be a little absurd to ask here but I also asked about it on a Canary Islands forum and yet to receive any decent replies. We spent the last three years in Spain on an assignment as an expat and while we are there we made the decision of buying a cottage in Spain, Tenerife through this page. Now that my assignment is over, we'll be returning to Balham and looking for a place to rent until we find a better place to purchase. Could you help us with this and equally important is if you would have a colleague that you can refer us to for the management of our property in Spain?
I wouldn't ask this for any other country but I saw a lot of Brits (students, pensioners and everything in between) living in Spain so I wanted to give it a go, thinking maybe British real estate managers also have already developed a small network (acquaintances) over there to work with?

A huge endorsement from us for Helena Jackson - another user has already shared the link to her site. We've been abroad for five years with her team managing our property and they have been brilliant. A reasonable and transparent pricing structure, a great callsheet of tradespeople, and sound advice. We use Rampton Basley for the marketing and letting but Helena is well connected with all the BTC agents to ensure a smooth process between letting and the tenants moving in/out.

We use Helena Jackson at hjpm to manage our rental properties. Helena and the team are excellent. They have also taken care of big refurbishments on the properties and done a great job.

Hi there, we have used Acquire Estate Agents based in Battersea to let and manage our other place in the area for the past 5 years. Aaron the owner of the agent is very good and responsive. We paid roughly 8% for tenant finding and full management services. Highly recommend them.

Hi there,

I recently signed up with Rentzy who are a local independent team and so far they've been great.

Hi there
I can highly recommend a local guy called Nick ter Averst who runs a boutique property management company called Just Management.
nick@just-management.co.uk
020 7228 9944
He is extremely competitive with a property management fee of 5%.
I have many friends in the area who use him and would happily put you in touch with them if you want to find out more.
Good luck!

Hi,

I use ManageMyProperty, found them to be one of the cheapest 8% rather than the 12 % + Cluttons etc were trying to pull, that's to both find and vet tenants initially and manage, if you want to just manage i think it drops to 6%.

I'd also recommend Mark Hillier who were around a similar price, dealt only via email but seemed very pleasant.

Helena Jackson Property Management. She is an independent property manager and she looked after my house for 3 years while abroad and I found her fantastic. There are lots of great reviews for her on this site - personally I loved not being answerable to, or paying, a high street agent and all the work she oversaw was conducted and concluded in a timely and cost effective way. She is also very experienced and gave us lots of good advice along the way.

Hello everyone

I own property between the commons and need to find a new management company as I now live abroad. Can anyone recommend a good reliable estate agent?

Thanks
Melly
