Hi, we specialise in basement design and appointment of qualified contractors including waterproofing and remedial works so i hope the following helps:
- as you know, it's a very specialist job requiring expert training, we use 2 installers and a specialist waterproofing consultant to assist with the design
- check the guarantees you are provided with (it should be an Installer guarantee and Product guarantee); the contractor should give you a 10 year company guarantee (although i am scpetical about the real value of these which i can explain). You should also ask for an Insurance Backed Guarantee but it is unlikley most installers will provide this
- be EXTREMELY diligent about appointing and briefing the fit-out contractor to finish the room off once it is waterproofed. By that i mean, one screw through the waterproofing system will not only invalidate any guarantee but will also cause tiny leaks that build up over time (i have seen this many times sadly)

Call if you'd like to discuss, best regards, Mike Lander, Director, www.ensoul.co.uk 020 3637 0700

Please would you mind doing the same with me, around giving indicative costs? We are in the same position as the origami poster.

Thanks
Kirstin

I am looking for a company that can damp proof / tank our cellar as part of our housing renovation. Has anyone got any good recommendations?

Thanks
