There is another way of looking at it. Where I my in-laws live there is a fenced-in dog-only area, outside of which they must be on a lead. Dogs can then run free and unless you have a dog, there is no need to enter..............................

We need a dog free area in Battersea Park.

I'm fed up of dogs running all over us and our belongings when I'm trying to enjoy a sunny afternoon in Battersea Park with my 9 month old son. You never know how a dog will react even when owners are adamant that they are gentle. It makes me very nervous. I really think there needs to be a dog free area within Battersea Park. Somewhere safer for parents with babies/children to sit and relax. Wandsworth Council currently have an open consultation with the public in relation to how they manage their parks. If you use Battersea Park and agree that we could do with a dog free area it would be great if you could reply too. Hopefully if enough parents request this we may be successful in creating a safer area for our children to play.
