Hello and welcome to the area. Sounds like you have lots to do! If you need full day care for your 3 year old, I would recommend Baby Room nursery. Our two children (aged 1 and 4) are at the Lavender Hill branch and are very happy there. They have a branch on Webbs Road too. Our son is due to start reception in September and I think (although I have no experience of what school is like) that the nursery is preparing him well for it.

Hope that helps and good luck with settling in.

Hi, I can't help with all your queries but I can recommend Battersea Yoga for the pregnancy yoga, and they have classes starting as late as 8pm and also on weekends. I really found it helped a lot with the general aches and pains of pregnancy plus I met other mums who I'm still in touch with now that I have an almost 1 year old!

Also, this thread might be useful in terms of advice on finding a doctor in your area:

In terms of meeting people, there's a NappyValleyNet meet-up this month at Crumpet on Northcote Rd (so very close to you) planned for 24th May, so that should be a good opportunity.http://www.nappyvalleynet.com/viewtopic ... 106&t=9856

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the area - I'm sure you'll get lots of help finding all the stuff you're looking for!

Moving to Belleville Road

Hello. My partner and I are moving to Belleville Road this week and would love some advice. I have a 3 year old so am urgently looking into nursery/pre-school for him (Belleville nursery might be able to help half the week and am on waiting list). Any tips on that? Also need to make some friends!! and get a doctor (new baby due in August) and get to know where it's all happening. I'd also love to do some maternity yoga but cant find a class that starts late enough (I am still working 4 days a week so can't do much before 7.30pm). Any advice welcome!!!! Thanks Ali
