I can throw another one into the mix - would recommend Jon Cash at hilltop construction. He specialises in full house development/refurbishment projects and has completed loads in Clapham area - one he was telling me required installing a swimming pool in the basement! and he and his team really know what they are doing.

I'm sure you have probably already found a builder... If you haven't, speak to Derrick Watterson of Kensington Renovations, they have had great reviews from a friends of min, and don't by fouled by the name, they are really competitively priced!!

I could ceratinly recommend Andrew at Hurlingham Developments in Fulham. They can do all the process for you and do a lot of side returns, lofts, pods, rear additiona and basements. As a NV family once ourselves, my husband and I lived through a similar extension some years ago, and have since set up Kitchenpod, a business providing temporary kitchen to homeowners during that time when you will be without a kitchen (the worst bit of the whole experience for me was coping with young kids and washing up in bath!). Hi Emma,

I can recommend my builder who is currently completely redoing a ground floor flat, adding a side return and back extension. They are 2 weeks ahead of schedule and keep me up to date every step of the way. Happy for you to go over to my flat and take at look at them working. PM me if you would like his details.

Make sure you go with a company where you actually get to speak when the builder( before signing) and not a salesman as they never get the quote right and you will always end up having to pay more for " unforeseen issues" !!
