The pound shop sell little teddies sometimes (not always so you have to keep going until they come in, which is tedious)- for one of my daughter's parties we put up a little pretend pen with a sign saying 'looking for a home' and then 20 little soft puppies from the pound shop. Each child could pick one up on their way out. We'd also made thank you for coming stickers and put them on as collars. Not on the high street also have nice little craft things, like make your own superhero masks and make your own mermaid sets, which work nicely.
I've also done superhero kits (with capes and little finger lasers, etc) and a tómbola type thing where I had lots of different thing wrapped up and children choose one thing at random....
