Thank you so much HoneyB2, I will definitively submit this information to the school. It is worth checking!!!

The teacher had built a very good project as they were going to use the building during term time and leave it for the community during holidays.
It would have been a great use of this site serving parents of the area by offering affordable pre-school spaces as well as a site for activity during breaks!
Such a loss for the area! I really hope they will find another building!

Sad to hear you are closing but I agree that Tooting Triangle should be kept for public use not private rental

I believe there was a playgroup/pre-school running in the Bonneville Centre on the corner of Rudloe Road and Poynders Road.

There was a big skip outside the other day so I wonder if it might have closed down. Could be worth exploring.

Oh gosh this is so sad! Both my kids had very happy times at Lochinvar when they were younger.

Is there anything that we can do that might help, such as writing to the council etc?

It is with heavy heart that we have learned the news that Lochinvar Preschool Playhouse may have to close due to the Council failing in securing premises to operate. Our loving teachers have been working at Lochinvar for 26, 20 and 12 years and have been handed their redundancy... despite another "outstanding" rating by Ofsted in December 2016.
The current lease within the premises of Alderbrook Primary School is terminating and new location was found at the Tooting Triangle. However, due to a legal challenge in relation to another location on common land, Wandsworth Council has decided that it would not move forward with the arrangements until further notice. Considering the time scale and the short notice, the situation leaves the children enrolled at Lochinvar with no option for next September, as well as Redundancy for our loving teachers.

We are writing here hoping you could help. If anyone knows of any premises that may be suitable either in the short term or long term, please do let us know. It would really be sad for our community to see such an amazing school disappear just like that. :( :oops:
