Have a look at Natalie Gamble's website. She's a lawyer specialising in fertility issues. Surrogacy can be a very murky business in the UK

Gestational surrogacy

by mrsF » Sun Sep 03, 2017 8:12 am

Hello,

We have just found out that my chances of carrying a second child are virtually impossible due to medical reasons and we are desperate for a sibling for our gorgeous daughter so we have decided to look into gestational surrogacy for someone to carry our biological child. This is entirely new territory for us and we don't have a clue where to start and I wondered if anyone had any experience and advice on this for us.

My main questions are really where to start, whether to do it in the U.K. or abroad, estimations of time frame and cost, doing it privately or through an agency etc. It's all so new and unknown!

It's obviously all been pretty devastating and I'm feeling quite sensitive about the whole thing, so please be kind!

Thank you!
