Recommend for babyroom too. 2 of my children have been there, 1 still there. It’s recently had a re vamp re play area and decor. I’ve really liked the staff, particularly in the first two babyrooms where my youngest is now. Good nurturing. Some people think it’s a bit small but they go to the common a lot (& trips around town) and ive always rated the small setting & i think that means they mix more with different ages in the garden which i think heps socialisation especially for first children. Also like the timings for working parents & when they serve the meals and snacks fits well. Good luck with your search. There’s a new nursery opened/ing right outside clapham common station but have not heard any feedback on this. Would be interesting to hear what people think, although early days.

Do come to the Independent Schools Show this weekend in Battersea Park where you can speak to a huge number of nurseries and pre-prep schools exhibiting.

A full list can be found here: http://www.schoolsshow.co.uk/nursery-pre-prep

Questions parents and students come to the show to get answered:

- When should I register my child for nursery and schools?
- How do I choose the nursery and pre-prep school that will be right for my child?
- Should I be considering a 'through school' that can take my child from nursery to university entrance? Or is it better to follow the traditional patterns and move upwards from pre-prep to prep and senior schools?
- Would single-sex or co-education suit my child best?
- Should I consider moving to be near a school outside London?
- I am considering a blend of the state and independent systems. How do I get my child into an independent school from a state primary school?

The event is FREE for those who register in advance: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/independ ... 1486554978

I'd really recommend Baby Room Old Town. Both of my kids were there from younger than 12 months (still got one there). Both have loved it. It's small, nurturing and I've always got the feeling the staff really do care for the children. If you work, the bonus is it's a day care nursery so works well for drop off/pick up and doesn't close at half term or other school holidays. It's also pretty flexible in terms of day swaps (although as with most nurseries the admin could be better on this!). Recently got a Good in their Ofsted inspection. Good luck with your search!

Hi

We live in the Old Town too and we had (and one of them is still going!) 2 children at Anglo Spanish Nursery in Clapham Manor Street. It's a lovely environment, both kids absolutely thrived in there and the staff are amazing.
I know they have a waiting list so I would suggest to contact them fairly soon.

All the best with your search!

Hello!

Am new to the area and would really appreciate recommendations on nuseries for when my son turns 12 months and I need to return to work 3-4 days a week. We're in Clapham Old Town, so any options in Old Town / or near Clapham Common tube would be great.

Really would like a good or outstanding ofsted rating misery with a lovely nuturing and social environment for my little man.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
