Thanks for this Liza - Jane.

I seriously need some window box help! Mr NVN is currently trying to ban them as I kill off so many plants, looks like he might be suitably impressed by my about to be acquired window box skills ;)

Hi there,

I noticed your post and wanted to let you know about a company called 'My Village Window Box' who plant and maintain window boxes. We think they're great - so much so, we even featured them in our magazine http://www.marshandparsons.co.uk/london-portrait/ (search Window Box) Hope you find what you're after!

Try Moyses Stevens at Wandsworth Station. http://www.moysestevens.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=19
Needless to say, if you do it yourself it will be much cheaper. Again if you have off the shelf standard sizes, it will be much cheaper than custom made to measure items. With regards to maintenance, if you only have window boxes to maintain, it will work out expensive to have them maintained. However, if you get the rest of your garden done at the same time, ie jetwashing paved areas, weeding beds, pruning and trimming hedges etc... then it can make sense.
If you choose you're plants carefully and have an irrigation system fitted, then there should be very little maintenance required.

Have just moved, and am wanting to get/have made/planted some window boxes. Can anyone recommend a company that can come and do this for us, and possibly maintain them?! Is it extortionate?! WOuld do this myself, but to say that I'm hopeless with plants, would be generous!
