Second Begg practice. Have been with them for over 4 years and 2 kids since newborns. They really go out of your way (eg getting me a prescription to the nearest pharmacy after telephone consultation the same eve, when I rang up at 5 pm about it!).

I’d definitely recommend Begg’s practice on St Johns Hill - I’ve been there since we moved to London, through a pregnancy and birth, and they were amazing! I liked that we got to choose our hospital ourselves, rather than being assigned one. I chose C&W ‘cause my SIL works there, and they were also AMAZING!
Good luck!

SW12Pops - thanks for your reply!

Annoyingly, it looks like I'm just one street away from the catchment area of the Balham Hill Practice.

And for anyone else looking at the Thurleigh Road GP practice, do NOT click on the website link on the NHS choices website to http://www.thurleighroadpractice.co.uk

It is a spam website that is looking to install malware.

The Thurleigh Road practice official site is here:

Thurleigh Road practice is excellent

as is Balham Park Surgery but it may be a bit out your way

Advantage of BPS is that one can go on way to/from Northern Line (if you work in town).

BPS was also on one of those TV "fly on the wall" series

Good NHS GPs in the area?

Hi - just moved to the Nightingale Triangle, and looking for a good local GP to register with.

Currently its just for myself and my wife - we're both healthy, no long term conditions or other needs to visit a doctor routinely. Just to register in case of any sudden illnesses.

We might be thinking of starting a family in the future, so would preferably like to register with a clinic that is good in providing support throughout pregnancy and also post-birth.

Let me know if you have had a good experience with your local GP or clinic!
