Trading Standards recommended that you do not buy from this type of door-to-door household goods sellers , they are not who they say they are and their products are not good quality or value.

Hi
I don't understand how the ones who are say they are trying to get off the dole are doing a scam? Has anyone ever tried selling door to door, it's really hard work. I always buy something (so long as they are not wrongly claiming to be a charity) I reckon if they've got the energy to try to make a living door to door then good on them. Rather that then them on the dole or robbing!

The ones I have had knocking say they are trying to get 'work experience' to 'get off the dole' etc. All sounds very positive and I did buy from them a few times but have become sceptical lately. Glad to see someone has done more research than me! Thanks for the info.

thank you for sharing this information, i am shocked that this is a scam...as i also bought their rubbish cloths at a hugely inflated price with the idea that we were contributing to a good cause. thanks nappyvalleymums.

Hi there - We have had these guys round our street in Balham quite often. Our Neighbourhood Watch questioned it with our local police safer neighbourhood team and they confirmed it is a scam. Most of the time they seem harmless and have been polite to me, but they have been aggressive towards a few people on occasion. We haven't seem them in a couple months.

I have even seen them on Clapham Common repackaging their items that they have bought at the pound store or similar!

I second what marchmum said!

In our case I was the one who was gullible enough to buy their stuff then my husband (who's pretty sceptical) looked up their charity as there's a charity number on the stickers and came to the same findings as the previous post.

We have them knocking at our door a fair bit -don't under any circumstances buy from them... it is a scam! My husband being pretty gullible and answering the door later in the evening to these guys ended up being conned into buying 3 dishcloths (little more than a J cloth) for £5. They claim they are part of a homeless charity and give you the story about how they are trying to get off the streets, make a living etc. Their products all have a sticker on them saying 'sold in aid of .....homeless charity' I can't remember the exact name of it now but I googled it and it doesn't exist and actually the google search brings up a lot of comments /articles about them being scammers. I'm not saying all door to door dishcloth salespeople are dodgy but if they give you any story like this then it's probably the same people!

Hi
Does anybody ever buy from these guys?

They seem to come around lots and they're always young kids and, date I say it, a little rough around the edges.

Anyone else bought from them? Are they good value?

I am always too nervous so shut the door straight away but I guess I could be being unkind.

HFS
