Hi Boune,
we have also used www.mylondondonextensions.com for our extension and loft conversions in Southfield and they were great. Very competitive but also the communication with the team and their project manager was so easy. Cant recommend enough.
You probably will be looking for new kitchen as well, don't look far, Kitchen Connections in Earlsfield has done gorgeous kitchen for us.

Hi Boune, my recommendation based on many years of experience is "Get the whole design right first, work out the construction phases and then tender for builders last". It's very hard when there is a pressing (and wonderful) time pressure, but it is really important to take a methodical approach to working out the design before getting anyone to tender for the works.

We specialise in the design and project management of whole house renovations in SW London, so it would be great to have a discussion to see if we can help, but as a minimum, i am happy to provide advice. All the best, Mike Lander, Director, www.ensoul.co.uk 020 3637 0700

Good luck with everything.

Thank you! i'll look them up.

Having gone through it once in the past its quite a daunting idea to get involved with all the mess, temporary accommodation etc. But needs must.

Speak to Totus construction (http://totus.construction/) , Coolmore Construction (https://www.coolmoreconstruction.com/), and also RM Lines (http://www.rmlines.com/) I have worked with these firms in the past and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Have you considered using an independent (not affiliated with a specific construction firm) designer/project manager? A project manager should be as impartial as possible to ensure quality control but also clarity in case of a dispute with the main contractor/builder. Also getting a full design done independently enables you to get accurate and "like for like" quotations from as many builders as you like. (I would always get at least 3 quotations).

We offer architectural and interior design services, project management and contract administration. Have a look at our work on http://www.decimusdesign.co.uk.
Also attached a few photos of our latest project in Wimbledon, a rear extension and complete refurb of semi-detached 4 bedroom house. We only got this photographed recently and it has not been uploaded onto our website yet.

Pm me if you need more info, and would also be happy to offer a free (no obligation) consultation if you are interested.

Thanks for getting back. We may consider dealing with separate contractors of course but would like to hear people's recommendations first. having said that I may reach out re project management when the scope is a bit more clear.

We also used My London Extensions on a single storey kitchen extension in Earlsfield and we’re happy with the work undertaken and also David, the owner is really nice to deal with.
Worth calling him to have a chat through works needed.
Good luck!

Thank you. In fact we used my London extensions for our apartment in Clapham Junction few years back for refurb, kitchen extension and basement tanking. We were very pleased with the work - good price and on time. I have reached out to them for the quote already but obviously would like to compare several companies as this project will be fairly big and want to make as informed decision as possible.

Hi Boune,

We also live in a conservation area in SW18 (maybe we are neighbours :P ) and we have been through exactly a similar type of project (Loft+extensions+refurb).
I can only highly recommend My London Extensions, they do exactly what you are looking for, from design to completion. I'm glad they dealt smoothly with the Council and the Conservation area, because it was a nightmare to be honest, especially for our loft.
They had a project manager who supervised the works and the builder Greg was really fantastic.
I was truly impressed with the quality of the works they've done in our house and I have recommended them to many of our friends.

Do not hesitate to call David (the owner of the company) on 07990 856 830. Their website is www.mylondonextensions.com
And If you need more infos, please pm me.
xx

Looking for reliable builder recommendation

We have recently moved to SW18 area and out house is very old, in need of total rebuilt. I am due end of October and we were hoping to do kitchen extension, loft, garden and overall referb before the baby arrives.

We had an extension before done in out apartment but this will be a completely different level of work because of the state the house is in. :?

We know the cost will most likely be quite high but we are really hoping to find a company which can take care of organizing architects, submitting plans to the council, honest with the initial quote (i.e. not downplaying the price in hope of securing the contract). Someone who can stay on track with works.

Both my husband and I have very busy work schedule so if the company can offer project management service it would be plus.

Do any of you, lovely people, can recommend a company who fit the criteria above? Someone yourself or maybe your friends/family used recently and were happy with?

Thank you in advance!
