We sell lovely personalised gifts for all sorts of occasions, including 40th birthdays. How about one of our lovely keepsake boxes? They are just the right size to hold a bottle of champagne, and then your friend can keep all her birthday cards in it afterwards.

Hi there

I make bespoke embroidered wine bottle Cloaks which sit over the neck of a wine bottle which then sits in an ice bucket. You can have a birthday slogan or one of our generic ones. The cloak also dries the bottle when you take it out before pouring so no drips too which is a bonus. Its made out of Egyptian polycotton and is machine washable so can be used time and time again. Check out our website which is

or link to us through Instagram.

We don’t charge the earth, we’re London based so hope we can help.

Hi there

Realise you might not want to solicit a load of people promoting their wares, but we set up our company (local!) at the end of last year with the goal of finding things that are just that bit different. I turned 40 last year (still not got over it), so we're sourcing for people just like your friend.

Here's three things that might be quite fun for her in your price range. Hope it helps!

(we've got one of the small grey ones left!)

There's some nice candle holders, hurricane lamps etc. If you're budget is a bit more you could always give these, with the card reading 'Nothing says Happy 40th like giving someone crabs'.

Hope it helps. If not, happy hunting!!!

my friend has asked for some jewellery for her 40th but because shes chosen it I want to in addition to this give something more personal/ thoughtful . I appreciate with out knowing her its hard to suggest things but I wondered if anyone had been given something unusual or thoughtful for their big birthdays. Circa £50
Any suggestions welcome
