Something blue- clearly we both underestimated the number of bushes between our homes and the relevant schools!

I know troubs! I was thinking exactly the same thing.
We have moved down on all waiting lists, except BV with no movement at all since the beginning :?

Is anyone else finding it depressing to see they are moving down the waitlist for a school (we were within top 5 on waitlist and now dropped to within 10) despite knowing several people who declined their place at the school. We think we were out of the catchment by an estimated 10m max- where is the woodwork these children are jumping out from!?! (I say this with tongue in cheek but its still frustrating being within touching distance whilst in limbo and then finding we are drifting further away).

My son is now in year 3 at BV and at the time was number 19 on the waiting list.
We had a reception place at BV by about end of May.

Waiting lists do move quite a bit. Not sure if this is the furthest in his year but one child lives at Kathleen Road, just off Lavender Hill, next to the Police Station.

Good luck, I hope this helps to give an indication. Please note though, every year is different.

I am also curious as to how far down the list they might get for BV and HW. We are 18 and 17 respectively. Does anyone know if the council has such historical data available or is it just anecdocal from other parents?

We weren't offered any schools in our top 6.

Thank you both.
We are 3rd on the waiting list for Belleville so I think we should be fine. I was asking for a my son’s friend who is 23rd (lives on Chivalry road). Do you know how long is the waiting list this year?
Have a nice day!

Apologies for the incorrect information, this was based on the official Wandsworth primary school prospectus listing 60 places as available, and the allocation only showing 30 places being allocated.

I went on a tour of High View shortly after Mrs Roberts became the head teacher and was impressed with her enthusiasm and the school overall.

Hi there, what’s posted above about High View isn’t accurate.

The governors made a deliberate decision to reduce the intake to 30 this year.

The school has also just announced that as of September it will become part of the Ark network of schools. That is the same very highly regarded multi academy trust that Bolingbroke is part of.

High View is a happy and inclusive school where my own children have thrived. Being part of Ark is a really exciting development. I would be happy to answer questions over direct message. I would also highly recommend that you arrange to visit the school and meet with Mrs Roberts to see it for yourself.

Very far. There is a lot of movement, and even after the start of the term people on the waiting list get offered places.

What's your position?
AudeR1 wrote:Also, I would like to know what are your thoughts on High View Primary School.
It seems that High View is really really struggling to attract pupils -- they offered two classes (60 spaces), and only seemed to be able to run one (30 spaces) -- and most of them are probably going to jump the moment a place becomes available elsewhere.

Hello
I was wondering, do you know how far down to they usually go in the waiting list to offer a place at Belleville (last year for example).
Also, I would like to know what are your thoughts on High View Primary School.
Many thanks!

Hi,
I've merged your question about Henry Cav. to the thread about national offers day as I think they're related...

Good luck!

I am looking for information about Henry Cavendish and honey week school. Is catchment area the hard criteria . If our house is with in one mile, can we get the admission?
