i am a mum of two. my little ones attend Lavender hill day nursery, next to Asda. the nursery has been newly refurbished with new management. they just had their ofsted and was rated good with outstanding features. the staff in there are lovely with great deal of experiences and knoweldge, the managers are welcoming and kind. when i go to drop off or pick up my little ones all the children are always happy and playing with the teachers. good room spaces and furniture plus amazing outdoor space. very local to a park that they use all the time, and 2 mins walk for me from the train station. the nursery is based on "learning through play and following children's interest" they also follow Early years foundation stage. i love this nursery and so do my little ones. you should go and visit, they are always welcoming.

Try Blundells nursery in Sheepcote Lane - wonderful atmosphere, the staff have been there a long time. They have a strong teaching programme 'Learning through play' and the children seem so happy. My son attended for two years , he is now at big school and his little sister is now attending - a miracle they have the same teachers.

I went to a stay and play morning at Bluebells Nursery School in Battersea, the two owners were lovely and my daughter really liked the nursery. A bonus for me was the outdoor space, they had a big garden and lots of activities. They open in september so i'm sure they will have space available. Good luck with the move!

I recently looked at Asquith Nursery on Latchmere road, and they appear to have spaces available.

I have just become a new dad and have been looking at Bringing Up Baby on Peardon Street SW8. I thought it had a good outdoor space and was very child friendly and they seemed very thorough when I asked the usual questions about routine, sleep time, nappies and all the bits a new parent wants to know. It also has a good rating at Ofsted
Still comparing nurseries at the moment so would like to know other parents thoughts?

Moving to SW11 and looking for a nursery for 2 children

We're moving back to the UK in August 2011 with two small children (aged 2 and 10months old). I know this is a long shot ..... but does anyone know of a nursery close to Northcote Road that doesn't have a ridiculous waiting list? Particularly keen to get our 2 year old into some sort of structured nursery (part or full time) as that's all she's known.
