Hi Sheds

I am in a similar situation to the one you have been through and I feel I am part way through a similar journey. I have not posted on a forum before. Is it possible to have a conversation outside of the public posts?

Love that you shared that Mumof3Balham, have looked at the link and Donna is very much in alignment with what I have learned and share - in particular living a life free of the thinking that we get so engaged in!  The Retreat looks fantastic...

Hi,
I just wanted to send out a response to your post - think it's great that you are offering help and hope that you and your husband are in a great place now. I am sure you have lots of advice based on your experience but wanted to add one in case anyone else is in this position and reading the thread.

I went through a similar experience - made worse by both my husband and I experiencing "crisis" at a similar time. As a result on I went on The Bridge Retreat.

This is a one week personal development experience lead by the amazing Donna Lancaster. I cannot recommend enough whether for mid life crisis, bereavement, anxiety, depression or any turning point in anyone's life. Or if you simply feel lost or stuck in life.

Search it out - it is truly life-changing both for yourself and those around you.

Mid-life Crisis

Finding myself embroiled in my husband's 'mid-life crisis' about 7 years ago, it shocked me to the core. I thought it was 'a red sports car' kind of thing!  I have been to hell and back.  With book-shelves full of all the self-help books you can imagine and thousands down on a myriad of courses both here and in the States on saving marriages I can report that I survived!

It strikes me that from all that experience and cost I have the ability to fast-track anyone finding themselves in a similar shocking situation, and save them the pitfalls of my own journey.  My children suffered big time and I can see so clearly a way to, at the very least, alleviate that suffering for all concerned, including and perhaps very importantly the one going through the crisis.

From what I have learned, I find myself helping a variety of people suffering depression, suicidal thinking, stress, anger, relationship issues, frustration and generally the down-side of life.  I also find myself helping parents and children/teenagers going through various dynamics.

'Positive thinking' is not the answer.

So anyone interested in a conversation, please get in touch.  I would love to alleviate any burdens being carried.  I feel it time for me to spread my wings and do what I am more than capable of doing.
