If they are really a nuisance, contact pest control for advice. If they are not a nuisance, why not leave them alone? Foxes have been persecuted in the countryside and found that they were safer in towns - plus there is so much food waste. I live next to a railway line which has foxes but, on the whole, my cats keep them at bay!
One thing they have learned is which day is rubbish collection day in the street. The night before they know that there will be bags outside waiting for collection!
What I would hate is for foxes to become on the endangered list because they are inconvenient.
