I’d take a look at the website tots too. It sets out all of the big luxury resorts with pros and cons etc, the kind of stuff that would not be obvious from slick websites.

I think Columbia Beach resort and the Almyra in Cyprus would be well worth a look for this. We've stayed at Almyra twice...luxury, stylish extremely family friendly. we visited Columbia Beach resort when we were there last time and thought it seemed very nice.
I-escape.com is great for checking places out.

I would recommend Gloria Golf Resort near Belek, Turkey. They have it all - 5 stars, sandy beach, clear water, magnificent all inclusive, swimming pools, water slides, indoor evening kids club, cinema, bars, amphitheatre with performances every evening, disco at the beach, kind staff.....40 min transfer from Antalya airport. Everybody here loves it - mums and dads, grandpas and grannies, teenagers and little ones.

Borgo Egnazia in Puglia, Italy, is a stylish family friendly resort. There are two pools (one adults only), spa, kids club, and I think a golf course. Plus there are nearby towns (e.g. Alberobello with its famous Trulli houses, or picturesque seaside town Polignaro a Mare) for exploring if you rent a car. The only thing it lacks is a sandy beach - there is a beach club, but you swim off the rocks.

Otherwise St Regis Mardavall in Mallorca, or Sani Resort in Greece, have been recommended by friends as good for luxury family holidays.

Hope that helps!

Have a look at Club Med. We’re planning to do a very similar trip to you next Summer and they are great for a range of kids and adult activities, entertainment and all-inclusive means you don’t need to touch your wallet which is very relaxing. Holidays for next summer come out mid-July I believe and you can usually get a really good deal then :)

Tips for luxury Med resort?

Can anyone recommend a luxury/stylish family-friendly European resort that would suit both grandparents and kids? It’s my in-laws’ 50th wedding anniversary next summer and they want to go somewhere special with us and the grandkids - so we need a pool, kids activities (age 9-11), and maybe golf. And a bar 😜

Somewhere classy and special - maybe Greek island or Balearics? Any recommendations much appreciated!
