I am pretty sure that you get entrepreneurs relief if you are a director, subject to some fairly straightforward conditions re the company's trading activities etc.  Not sure how it interacts with EMI share schemes.  But either way you will get a very good tax deal, so I suggest you stop worrying about it, pay the tax and count yourself lucky to have the problem.  If we want to live in a decent society, then someone has to pay tax, and it may as well be those who can afford it.

A bit niche, but i wonder if anyone can recommend a good tax advisor / accountant who can advise on CGT / entrepreneurs' relief for EMI share schemes? Am in need of some fairly urgent advice, so any suggestions would be much appreciated!
