I used to live in Earlsfield and the thing that I loved about it was that there were lots of little parks/playgrounds with grass around them. Garratt Green, Garratt Park and King Georges' Park and a number of little playgrounds. Plus Earlsfield's One O'Clock Club if that is still going. It was good for popping out quickly but Wandsworth Common/Bellevue Road was still only 15 minutes walk away. I found Earlsfield very friendly too and the children's library is great.

Thanks so much for all these thoughts and links - I really appreciate the time you have spent replying and will look into the links shortly. We walked around the area at the weekend so hopefully will find somewhere with grass in a garden and then go for it! :)

We just moved to Earlsfield and it is very baby friendly!
We found a place with some grass in the backyard (houses in Northcote area seemed to have very small "gardens" it is also cheaper in Earlsfield) and we can walk to Wandsworth common. Earlsfield station is great with trains running every 4 or 5 minutes - 3 stations to Waterloo (though trains are busy)!

The 'events in Earlsfields' posts seems to be updated regularly - which is really great.
Don't think you could find an area that is more baby/toddler area than Earlsfield/Southfields. Seems most of the general area is full of babies - if youwalk around it seems to be just buggies everywhere!

As for nurseries there is suppose to be a new one opening at the top of Magdalene Road. We have a baby in Mayfield Children's Centre and so far really love it (someone just posted about it on here somewhere and I agree with the posters comments). I think you can find some info on other nursery options on here if you do a seach. Sticky Fingers is another one I was interested in.

Any thoughts on where is most bubba and toddler friendly? We are looking to rent a house with a garden as near to Wandsworth Common as possible but it is so expensive. Most properties that are affordable seem to be in Southfields and that have a garden with grass too which is important. We have a little toddler and one arriving in a few months. I want to be somewhere really baby friendly..so used to Wandsworth Common and all that goes on around here so anxious about a move - any thoughts welcome!
If we were to move to Earlsfield/Southfields, can anyone recommend baby toddler activities there? a good, nurturing lovely nursery? I am only familiar with ones around Northcote Road area.
