I would highly recommend the Evewell fertility clinic , they have a branch at Harley street and a fairly new (1 year ) sister clinic at Hammersmith. Their approach is patient care centred and personalised.
I have to disclose that I work there after having worked for 12 years in a very busy IVF unit and I love the personalised approach + Great results.

"If you haven't had one already, I would also highly recommend getting a laprascopy done before you embark on IVF. Robert Winston fertility expert recommends these as gold standard of fertility testing and not enough is done before people are rushed onto IVF. "
@Red1981 - is there a less invasive way to check for endometriosis? And were there any side effects for you? I was also trying to see where Robert Winston recommended it but couldn't see it online, if you can direct me to it that would be great. Many thanks!

ARGG are homophobic and refused to provide me with their complaints procedure. The whole IVF experience with them was awful from the start, they run a factory-like business instead of a professional medical entity and are rude, disorganised and only care about their statistics. They've given me steriods without monitoring the effect on my blood (which were abnormal due to it and luckily hospital tested it) and instead kept on only doing blood tests of my progesterone because ticking their "viable pregnancy" box to add to their statistics is all these people care about, complete lack of care of the patient's wellbeing. Their clinic is disgusting, with paper folders falling apart & no air ventilation (windows don't open) and their staff overcharging you (be careful & check the daily blood tests what they deduct from your mandatory £5k account because they are very sly). Spent almost £10k and treated like rubbish throughout and refuse to investigate their homophobic doctor. Will be taking my complaints to HFEA and suggest you don't use ARGC because the only reason they have high birth rates is because they transfer multiple embryos instead if single most other clinics do.

Hi,

I read your post regarding your treatment at ARGC. I already have 2 failed round of IVF elsewhere and was looking into some another clinic. I am confused between CRGH and ARGC. I would really appreciate if I would be able to speak to you regarding the same. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Thank you ladies for your recommendations and support. I had a call from NHS offering now to go private with them. Is very reasonably priced and obviously they do have all the blood tests and other data from our previous NHS 2 rounds, so was considering maybe to try with them first...I am very emotional at the moment and if ARGC doesn't really provide that personal care and attention as some people expect when you pay such money, not sure if that won't make me even more stressed. Will book my appointment with them and see how I feel about them.
Thank you all

I have had two IVF treatments at Lister and did not get pregnant. Out of desperation at 42years old I went to argc and got pregnant but miscarried and tried again about two months later which was successful and resulted in a girl. Argc is intense. The monitoring is intense and continues until you are 20weeks pregnant and then after that it's about once a month for the immunes testing. It's expensive but I don't regret the money spent as it was the only clinic that managed to get me pregnant and resulted in a baby. I wish you the best of luck. The journey is hard but if you are lucky it is worth it when a little one is nestling in your arms.

We had a very positive experience at C&W with Mr Norman-Taylor on the NHS.

Definitely recommend going to free "open days" to get a feel for the place and the people before committing.
No place can guarantee success, so it's important you're under a team you feel comfortable with as they will be guiding you through this challenging period.

Hi,

I need to decide on the clinic for IVF with ISCI. We had one fresh and one frozen transfers at Guys hospital, however both failed. So now I am looking into ARGC, Create and CRGH. From what i have read here on this chat, Create approach is more gentle with milder treatment where CRGH has more aggressive approach with a lot of procedures and medicaments you have to go through. Since I am a 'healthy' one in the family so wondering what is better for me. Also interesting that Create has a very high IVF birth rate compare to others (30prc), but multiple birth rate is very low (4.9prc) compare with other two. This is so confusing and I just don't know what to do. Has anyone know if ARGC would be much more expensive than the other two? Are we talking here something above 10k for one round?

Would love if someone could share their thought on here.

Thank

Indra

Another vote for CRGH here. I think we were seen by Dr Abramov, but also remember Dr Saab. This was 2014.

We were lucky and in the end were successful on our first round of IUI, so never needed to progress to IVF.
General memory was that appointments were sometimes fairly chaotic and often ran late (clinic is part NHS, part Private, but we weren't eligible for NHS) but that fact did make me feel as though they were more open to discussions around which tests/procedures were necessary, rather than expecting you to be happy to pay for absolutely everything under the sun. Friend who did extensive research and spoke to various doctor friends settled on CRGH as the best option too (she was also successful)

Out initial rounds of tests cost us approx £4000 for me and husband. There's a lot they need to check out before moving into IVF, so keep that in mind (thyroid, HIV, vitamin D, clamidyia etc etc. None extortionate but takes time and adds up)
Also relevant that you will be travelling there a LOT, so transport from your home/work needs to be taken into account. This may be less of an issue now as a lot of people are currently able to WFH.

Good luck! :)

I wanted to share my experience at CRGH.
I had 6 embryos frozen and so far 2 attempts of transfer that have failed.
I am now in the process of having an endometrial biopsy to find a possible cause of my infertility.

What I feel in this clinic is that there are a lot of tests as in: dummy embryo transfer and also they are obsessed in medicating the cycle, as in, not doing the transfer in a natural cycle but with hormones, even if my periods are normal.
They also recommended me doing a pre implantation gene analysis (PGD) that is really expensive and in other clinics, they don't recommend it..

Also, not very satisfied with the nurses. It's nurse led, but every time I go I am seen by a different nurse, each one with a different degree of expertise.. and I have had occasions where I have been given the wrong information.. and it has been by chance that I found out it was wrong...

I don't think I would repeat this clinic and I would go to Lister or other clinic you recommend now.

Thanks, any comments would be appreciated.

I am currently undergoing an IVF procedure there now, and so far so good. I’ve read horror stories about other clinics and it’s been pleasant here. With every question answered and the medical staff are quite friendly and understanding. And it’s not pocket draining too.
