Hi Randyisscott

Absolutely. Pregnancy Yoga is an IDEAL practice for 6months + pregnant women. It's where Pregnancy Yoga comes into its own. Pregnancy Yoga is Yoga adapted, modified and created to support the mind/body needs of pregnancy accross ALL trimesters. It is nothing like a regular Astanga or vinyasa yoga class.
Pregnancy Yoga is designed to support your changing body, crate space for your baby, alleviate the common complaints of pregnancy, which seem to peak in the third trimester, and, crucially, prepare you physically and mentally for childbirth. It energises, centres and nourishes as well as connects you with your baby which is exactly what a pregnant woman needs as she navigates the ups and downs of pregnancy.
  • A systematic 2012 review of numerous studies on the effects of yoga during pregnancy and labor confirmed that yoga benefits not only the person who is pregnant; reducing anxiety, reducing backache, improving tiredness and nausea, increasing feelings of well-being, but also the baby. It can also have positive effects on birth weight and babies being born at term.

Hi Kenny
Nadia here. Yes Yoga can definitely help scoliosis. In fact there are many yoga teachers with scoliosis who teach because it helped them.
Pregnancy can sometimes exasperate scoliosis but I am a senior pregnancy teacher so can offer you practices to support and release the tension you have building around the spine which will lead to increase in pain.
The mindfulness practices will also help you to work with the pain and accept the current condition of your body.
You are welcome to join the course anytime. We are three weeks in.
I am also about to start another online pregnancy yoga course tonight actually- which will also be suitable.
Lots of local women attending both courses.
Perhaps we can chat on the phone.
My number is 07771 687 128.
Please reach out amd we can continue the conversation.
Nadia🌺

I just completed Nadia's Yoga & Mindfulness For Pregnancy & Birth. It is a 12 week course and I joined it just when my online yoga gym had unfortunately stopped classes. Initially I thought I was just replacing my yoga classes. What transpired was so much more. When Nadia says "mindfulness" she means mindfulness. We were introduced to heaps of resources of how to approach the birth as a mental exercise, resources on breathing, outlook and the ideal mental approach to pregnancy and delivery. And we also moved, we did a good amount of yoga movements especially for the pelvic area, and even had a wonderful dancing lesson at the last class! The bonus was we formed a community of strong mamas meeting every week for 12 weeks, sharing our stories, fears, successes, vulnerabilities, wins. Oh! And there's a half day partners' class jam-packed with useful practical info for the birth. The course was way more than I expected and I came away so much more knowledgeable and confident as a mum to be from it. I highly recommend the course to all mums to be in the area. Absolutely worth the investment.

Hi All, I have recently finished Nadia's yoga & mindfulness for pregnancy/birth course. It was very insightful and gave me great tools to prepare for birth and beyond. I enjoyed the spiritual aspect of it and the different perspective it gives to traditional birth courses. Nadia's energy and care for everyone in the course is beyond admirable. I also got to meet other mothers to be in the area and I look forward to staying in touch with them. Highly recommended! Cigdem x

Hi SW Mamas, I did this course when Nadia offered it last time around and it was an investment worth every penny. Nadia has an amazing energy and I just can't believe her knowledge and wisdom. The partner's workshop included in this course is a REAL highlight with hands-on tips for birth partners and mamas. My recommendation is to take the time to really engage with what you learn and implement it in your life. Couldn't recommend Nadia's course more!

I invite you to honour your pregnancy, invest in yourself and join me on this special journey.

On this 12-week journey you will dive deep into your own physical and emotional body, understanding it; loving it and preparing it. You will learn how to ground and centre effectively and experience your self in deep embodied stillness.

We will explore your’s and society’s beliefs around pregnancy, birth and becoming a mother and how they shape your choices and your actions.

We will discover pathways through movement and sillness to presence, bliss and female empowerment.
It is my deep hope and wish that you recognise your depth and power, discover a real trust in the physiological process of birth, learn both ancient female birthing wisdom and up-to-the-minute evidence-based knowledge of the contextual process. With a fundamental love and trust of the woman – you – giving birth, yours will be, truly – a labour of Love.
