You can have all the school ski chalets in the world but all pretty meaningless in a situation like this.

This could have been so much worse.

And also a reminder that DBS checks are actually meaningless, unless a person is found guilty of a crime, which is why, as a PP has said, we must talk to our children about what is acceptable behaviour from adults.

I agree with everything that MLD has just written.

First and foremost this is a tragic situation for the all involved, so many pupils, friends, family, colleagues and such like will be massively impacted by this -  truly truly awful. In addition, the perpetrators of this sort of abuse were, very often, victims themselves. 

I also think it's a salutary reminder that all the money in the world can't insulate you from the real world which has an awful habit of crashing in on everyone, even those with incredible privilege.

A horrible, stomach-churning reminder that sexual predators work in schools. He was head of pastoral too.

Parents, please talk to your children about body safety. It is never too soon, and it doesn’t have to be a scary conversation.

Also teach them that it’s okay to question adults or disagree.

Of course we must allow our children to go out into the world and interact with those around them. But we can arm them with knowledge that might save them from
being victimized and groomed.

Thinking of the poor parents at Thomas’s and those abroad too. So upsetting.

Do find the fact that they say that they won't be commenting further a little ironic. Seem to remember photo calls and press releases when Price George and Princess Charlotte attended.
